Resort island aesthetic – typical but modernized in a cute and playful way
Hyperfine silhouettes and muted mesh tones in pastels and neutral tones
Area
This show was so playful and lively, it reminded me of the popular coconut girl aesthetic, which plays off of the effortless cool girl island vibe. This turns that aesthetic up a notch and turned it into a major it-girl moment.
Tommy Hilfiger
I surprisingly really liked the Tommy Hilfiger show! It was classic and chic as expected but with a playful twist. I thought these looks would be perfect for fashion-forward corporate professionals. This collection is the perfect inspo for all the corporate baddies who want to step up their work fits.
Heron Preston
This show is all about the details! I’m obsessed with the motocross-inspired designs and the dark and sexy update on the classic denim-on-denim look. This collection exudes a cool and confident energy, with the pieces that feel like they were designed to become new classics, and parts of a capsule wardrobe. The fashion references the 90s and early 2000s, but without feeling outdated or cliché. Overall, the runway show is edgy and modern, perfect for those who want to make a statement with their fashion choices.
Commission
The style in this show has the perfect blend of both feminine and edgy looks! The way the some of the looks combine structured blazers with flowy fabrics add a really cool-girl look that is still femme but in a modern grungey way.
Alexander McQueen
Alexander McQueen featured structured looks and a focus on the hips as an erogenous zone making the collection a lot sexier than I expected. I also loved the use of bold graphics and prints in this collection.
Emilia Wickstead
The runway show features a soft and delicate aesthetic, with mesh and flowy dresses creating a hyperfeminine and dreamy feel. This collection creates a romantic mood, perfect inspo for those who want to embrace their femininity and sensuality without being over the top.
Palm Angels
This runway show totally rejects traditional business casual attire and has a very bad-ass and cool aesthetic to it. The collection is huge inspo for the "corporate baddie" who wants to make a statement with their fashion choices. The leather and motocross inspiration add a sense of confidence and edge that wouldn't be out of place with someone who sneaks off to vape in the bathroom during their 9-5.
Iceberg
The runway show features an ultra-stylish and trendy aesthetic that’s literally so fetch! The looks remind me of the iconic "mean girls" vibe from the early 2000s. The collection features muted tones with girly punches of colour.
Jacquemus
This runway show features a playful 70s-inspired aesthetic, with a carefree island twist. The collection features blazers but with a focus on relaxed and effortless style. The sexy mesh moments, create a visually striking and alluring effect. Overall, this runway show is a celebration of fun and freedom, with a nod to the iconic style of the 70s.
